It was great to see everyone last night at our Meet the Coaches/BBQ Fundraiser/Team Social! We had a terrific turnout and now we are ready for the real fun to begin!

Afternoon practices start TODAY and continue through May 31st. On June 1st we'll switch to the morning practice schedule. We understand that there are bound to be some after school conflicts in these last weeks of school, so we ask that you do the best you can to get swimmers to practice regularly. Swimmers should arrive a few minutes before their scheduled practice time to get their goggles on, put their belongings down and assemble on the bleachers to await instructions from the coaches. 

Important Notes:

• You are asked to stay for the duration of your swimmer's practice time. We do ask that parents remain off the pool deck during practice as our coaches must give their undivided attention to swimmers in the water.
  
• If siblings are waiting during practice time, they must be under direct supervison of a parent. If they are on the playground, they must be supervised.
  
• Only swimmers may be in the water during their own practice time. Due to our insurance coverage and pool company rules, we are not allowed to have even a toe in the baby pool when a lifeguard isn't present. This includes swimmers waiting on the top step of the pool before practice time - this was allowed in the past but due to insurance liability is not possible this summer since there is no lifeguard present. Need to cool off? Swimmers are welcome to hop in the outdoor shower to rinse off.

Swimsuits: Swimmers may wear any suit for practice time. We do ask that girls wear a one piece suit for practice. Team suits will be available for purchase on May 17th during practice time. Caps and goggles are completely optional.

Birth Certificates for ALL new Tiger Sharks: Please bring a copy or digital photo of your child's birth certificate to practice this week so a board member can sign off that we've checked it. The important thing is that we have to verify that the date you registered your child with is their actual date of birth. Thank you for helping us follow league policy. NOTE: If you swam with another team last season, we still need to verify your swimmer's birth certificate this season.

Practice Schedule:  The practice schedule can be found here - look for your child's age group for the time to arrive at the pool, ready to swim. Please get to practice a few minutes early to allow time to put on goggles, put belongings down and get to the bleachers to await instruction from our coaches.  (See arrow 2 below to navigate to the practice schedule)

Volunteering and Meet Attendance: This year our team is transitioning to a single website for communications, volunteering and meet absence notifications. All of these areas will be managed from www.lostts.org.You must log in to our website to see meet results, declare meet attendance and sign up to volunteer or attend team social events. Your login is unique to you, and anyone receiving this message has an account. Don't know your password? It's simple to reset. Need to add someone to the account? (Grandparent who volunteers, etc) Just reply to this message with their name and email address and we'll set them up.
