PLEASE READ: Meet 4 Results + Last Weeks of the Season Updates!

Tiger Sharks,

We had another close meet last night with lots of dropped times, but the final score was not in our favor. First Colony Gators won the meet 616-580. Once again, the Tiger Shark swimmers and fans showed great team spirit and sportsmanship and cheered each other on all night! We are so proud of our swimmers for their growth so far this season. There's more to winning than the final score. Trying our best, swimming a first no-breather, and swimming a stroke legally for the first time are all reasons to celebrate! But the season isn't over yet!! As usual, there's a ton of info in this email so settle in... Here we go!

11 & Up 2018 Meet of Champions: RSVP Here (EVERYONE please reply "Attending this Meet" or "Not Attending This Meet" so we are 100% sure who will be there!)

The Meet of Champions is a competition between all of the teams in our division. It's broken up into two parts. The morning session is for swimmers ages 10 & Under and the afternoon session is for swimmers ages 11 & Up.

10 & Under swimmers in the morning session should plan to arrive no later than 6:45 am (yes, that's a real time!) for warm ups to begin at 7:00 am. The meet will begin at 8:00 am and the goal is to be done by noon. Swimmers should bring all the usual meet gear.

11 & Up swimmers in the afternoon session should plan to arrive no later than 1:45 for warm-ups to begin at 2:00. The meet will begin at 3:00 pm and the goal is to be done by 7:00 pm. Swimmers should bring all the usual meet gear.

The Meet of Champions is your swimmer's time to shine and show their best effort in all the strokes they've learned over the course of the season. This event is not only for elite swimmers, it's for every swimmer to swim their best in all their strokes so they can see their improvement since the first time trials. The results of the MOC are used to populate the All Star Meet.

The 2018 MOC will be held at the Don Cook Natatorium. Swimmers are eligible to participate if they have competed in two regular season meets and are expected to swim any stroke they have been able to swim legally over the course of the season. (excluding time trials) This is your swimmer's chance to see how far they've come over the course of the season. We want every swimmer to swim every stroke they qualify for so they can see their improvement. There are a lot of swimmers (4 teams worth!) so there will be time to rest between events.

The MOC is a computer seeded meet. This means that heat sheets are computer generated based on every swimmer in the division's individual time over the course of the season. Once the meet is seeded, it cannot be changed. Empty lanes cannot be filled at the MOC because of the digital timing system and nobody wants to swim in a heat alone. Empty lanes make for an unnecessarily long meet. It is extremely important that meet entry deadlines are met for the MOC. If you know you're not going to be able to attend, you must use the Meet Entry system to let the coaches know your swimmer will not be at the MOC.

The deadline to declare your swimmer's entry status for the Meet of Champions is SUNDAY, JULY 1st at 11:59 PM. The sooner you can let us know, the better!

10 & Under 2018 Meet of Champions: RSVP Here (EVERYONE please reply "Attending this Meet" or "Not Attending This Meet" so we are 100% sure who will be there!)

11 & Up 2018 Meet of Champions: RSVP Here (EVERYONE please reply "Attending this Meet" or "Not Attending This Meet" so we are 100% sure who will be there!)

Party Time!

The Tiger Shark End of Season Party will be held on Sunday, July 8th starting at 5:00 pm in the pavilion next to the pool. Bring a camp chair and enjoy our award ceremony. We'll have special awards for every age group, we'll recognize our seniors and our Tiger Shark of the Year. You won't want to miss the paper plate awards - a fun Tiger Shark tradition! After awards are given, we'll dismiss the swimmers to the pool and have a quick team meeting as required by our by-laws. Then it's time to eat and have fellowship with your Tiger Shark family. Be sure to have your swimmer bring their team shirt so Meet of Champion stars can be added!

RSVP for the party here There is a $3 fee per person to help offset the cost of pizza, cake and party supplies. We'll be sending out a request for chips and drink locations in a future email.

Please reply with any questions you have. We have firm deadlines coming up so if there's anything you don't understand or need clarification on, please reach out!

See you at the pool!
